  • GenieACS 1.2.11 released

    GenieACS v1.2.11 has just been rolled out, addressing an issue in v1.2.10 that broke compatibility with Node.js versions 12 through 15. That is the only change in this release, so no rush to update from v1.2.10 if you’re on a more recent version of Node.js.

  • GenieACS 1.2.8 released

    GenieACS v1.2.8 has been released. This is primarily a security release addressing a critical vulnerability in genieacs-ui. Credit goes to Alex Hordijk for reporting the issue and helping with implementing the fix. If you’re running any version in the 1.2.x series, it is imperative that you update as soon as possible, especially if you have the UI exposed to the public Internet!

    This is a quick update to address a couple of critical regression bugs in v1.2.6. If you’ve already updated or in the process of updating your GenieACS deployment to v1.2.6 (and only v1.2.6) then it’s strongly advised to update to v1.2.7 immediately.

  • GenieACS 1.2.5 released

    This is a small update to address a JavaScript compatibility issue in v1.2.4 rendering the UI completely broken under Safari web browser. That’s not the only change in this release though. A feature that’s been requested a number of times is to allow specifying a custom type when uploading a new file via the files listing page. This is now finally possible.

    At long last, after a year-long beta stage, GenieACS 1.2 has finally arrived! This is a very exciting release (as far as enterprise software goes) that not only introduces many new features and a great deal of polish, but also brings about core fundamental improvements that make GenieACS more versatile and takes it to a whole new level in terms of adaptability, especially when it comes to customizing the system for different CPE data models.   • A sneak peek at GenieACS’s new UI

    For as long as GenieACS has existed, development was primarily focused on core features related to scripting and automation while the user interface had taken the back seat. The user interface, while serviceable, left something to be desired and, in my opinion, did not give a fair first impression of GenieACS and its capabilities. In the upcoming release this will at last be addressed with a new and refined web UI. In this post I will highlight the exciting new features!

  • GenieACS 1.1.3 released

    A new maintenance release of GenieACS is out now. This update brings, among other stability and bug fixes, a new configuration option to circumvent the infamous ‘Too many commit iterations’ fault that can happen when executing paritcular complex provision scripts. The config MAX_COMMIT_ITERATIONS defaults to 32. Increase as necessary until you no longer get faults.
